Hello everyone,

I'm running SCCM 2007 and attempting to push out a package to all DPs in my environment.  All sites are in an "Install Pending" phase and haven't completed yet.  The package was pushed out on 9/12.  What are some basic troubleshooting steps for determining why these packages aren't being updated?

Thanks,

Rich

A good place to start is with the Software Distribution Troubleshooting Flowcharts

What about the status messages in SCCM? Any information like "access denied", "lack of disk space" or others? Usually, if a package is in a pending state, then either the access rights are missing on source or DP or the disk space is not sufficient. Sometimes, the information gets stuck or lost somewhere, then a package update on the whole package usually does the trick.

Tried to delete the package and recreated it and recopied it the distribution point.  I had the same issue and doing the above helps.

Basic trouble shooting :-
Have you sent packages to these dp before ?
Can you send a small test package to the dp since (one small file in a single folder) ?
Have you checked the logs ?
Have you got Bitts enabled and the package includes a large file ?
