I sent an advertisement to about 130 PCs, they are a mix of W2K and XP.  1 W2K PC rejected it with "Program rejected (wrong platform)" error.  Per SMS the "Last Boot Up Time" was 3/3/2008 (5 months ago).  I had the user run the repair option form within the Systems Management interface, no change.  I remoted into the PC, ran ccmclean.exe, then reinstalled.  Next I clicked the "Discover" for SMS site code and it couldn't find it.  I manually typed in the site code and looked like everything started working within a few minutes, on the Systmes Management interface that is.  I ran repair again from the PC, no change, still couldn't discover site code.  I then ran Repair Cleint, Refresh HW and SW inventory remotely, no change.  I searched google and nothing like this was found.  they all said check program requirement, which if that was incorrect half the PCs would be rejecting it, not just one.  Any ideas???
Thanks!

any errors in clientlocation.log,   if its not auto discovering, might be something wrong with MP..

Under SMS Site, is the Temporary Program Download Folder section set to 0 and gray'ed out?  I have found that WMI issues on the system can be the cause if both of these conditions are true.

jwilliamson26 - The Temp Program Download is set to 250 and is not greyed out.

hcortez463 -  Here is the last part of the log:  The logs look it was working (although i don't think it was) then the last line shows it failed.  I changed the MP name to ####### for security purposes.

So the log shows it failed, but still no reason why.  Thank you M$

well looks like your not reciving the policies.. I would verify that you can access the MP.  Try running MP Tshooter and the client assignmetn tool in the toolkit.  See if you can access the bellow links from the clinet.

http://<MP_name>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist <--- This returns a blank screen if the MP is working correctly.
http://<MP_name>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert <--- This returns a long list of numbers and letters if the MP is working correctly.
