My site hierarchy will consist of the following;
Primary Site (Site Code=N01)
Secondary Site (Site Code = N10)
Secondary Site (Site Code = N11)

a) For the primary site N01, there would be no boundaries created. (no managed clients)
b) For the secondary sites N10 & N11, boundaries would be the applicable AD site. (AD extended)
c) After discovery but before client installation, the "All Systems" container is populated with each resource and it's applicable Site Code N10 or N11. None would be N01.
d) After installing the client to any resource, will the site code for each resource now be N01 (primary site), or will they retain their secondary site code of N10 or N11?

Thanks for any help,
Jerry

The site assignement would be N01.  Clients can only be assigned to a primary.  You say see in the discovery data that they may have the site code of the sec site, but that is just where the discovery had occured.

Thanks Paul. That's the way I understood it as well. No clients can be assigned to secondary sites, only primary. Strange thing in my virtual test lab. When I have an active management point in the primary N01, and no proxy mgt point in the secondary, that's exactly what happens. Clients get assigned to site N01. But when I add a proxy mgt point to the secondary site N10 and then pushed the client from the console, the resource shows that it is now a client, but is assigned to site N10???

If you are refering to the properties of a client and you are looking at the "agentsite" value, that may indicate the secondary site.  But if the system is showing up in the console as N10 and not N01, then that is strange.  I have many secondary sites with proxy mp's configured and I have not seen this problem.  When you check the site code on the client computer itself, what site code does it return?  It should return N01.  Try this with and without the proxy MP.  They should both return N01.
