Hello all. I have several remote locations that have limited connections and no server is present onsite. These locations need large packages installed. The systems at these locations do not currently have SMS on them.

What problems would I experience by the following? Install Server 2003 on a desktop and set up a secondary site. I would configure the secondary site as a DP only. Once I completed deployment, I would move the desktop to another location and change the site boundary to that new location. With the site boundary set, I can deploy at the new location. Once I have completed all deployments at remote locations, I will remove the secondary site.

That will work fine. I ahve moved sec sites around using the same method. We actually have experiements with a mobile sec site concept and its worked nicely. We do set the protected DP boundaries as part of our process.
