All valued Professionals: I am new to this list. In our company we are working with RIS on a Windows 2000 server. The clients are Windows 2000 professional SP4 post Rollup, Windows XP professional SP2. There are Windows 2000 SP3 , Windows 2000 Sp4 + Rollup and Windows XP Sp2 flat images on it + a Microsoft hotfix enabling the use of Windows XP images on a Windows 2000 server. Last fall we had to rebuild the disk drive with RIS partition on it. After that using the images for deployment was still possible but when we wanted to create a new Windows 2000 SP4 + Rollup+NET framework 1.1 + new software+ all important hotfixes since, we experienced problems. The files stored used up a lot of space (fairly no compression) . This made us think that the groveler didn't work properly. After restarting this service the problem persisted. May be we were choosing the wrong sequence when rebuilding the disk drive or we should build another flat image for SP4+Rollup+ Net framework 1.1+recent updates ??? Any helpful hint or question would be greatly welcomed. Thanks in advance
