ive never used that tool but you can acomplish the same this by using "SMS" and managing it by the advertisement.  It will run based on your advertisement.  Im sorry i guess im missing something

runonce.exe isn't used to deploy applications, it is used to run commands required by an app install after reboot.
If you install an app, it requires a reboot, then must run additional commands after the reboot (like registering DLL files) that is where runonce.exe comes in handy.  It runs those addidional commands with admin rights so that the logged in user doesn't have to be an admin to complete the install.

I guess you could achieve what you're after by running another program (i.e., a vbscript/batch file to reboot the computer) before you run the real program (i.e., what ever it is that you want to install after the reboot). You can do this with SMS. Just create the program (vbscript/batch file) to do the reboot part first!

Perhaps you mean the runonce reg key? If you stick a command line in there it will run at reboot and then remove itself so it does not execute again. We use it all the time.

I use the RUNONCE.EXE Tool for install a few of our applications here. It is used for those applications that install the files then after reboot the applicatioin needs to do some configuration under a administrator account.

Well, you can't really prevent the user from logging on? :P

If you need this guarantee, how about running it in the middle of the night? Reboot & run whatever you like with no one to pester your deployment - unless you have a 24/7 environment or something :( If you're PCs are off, you could look into using WOL...
