Somehow a default collection has gone missing. How can you restore these default collections without creating from the query manually?
if you create one manully from the default query it dosent have an SMS????? colection ID but a SITE???? ID.

I suppose question 1 is "does it matter" if the collection has a different ID???

There used to be a tool in SMS 2.0 (Conv20.exe) that could recreate the default collections. I doubt that this still exists in ConfigMgr, and I've no idea if it would work if you could find an old copy (I doubt it...). I'm not aware of a tool to do this in ConfigMgr.

The ID is not important but it would  be nice to restore the original Collectionwith its original ID.

I had another collection that went missing but when I upgraded to SP1 it restored itself. unfortunatley its the same one gone missing again.lol

aparently you can restore the default collectios if you reinstall your primary site over itself.
