SCCM OSD and HP 6545b

FYI - It appears that we have gotten several HP Probook 6545b systems that have the same SMBIOS ID assigned to them from the manufacturer. I have a case open with HP to try to get this resolved. This is causing issues with SCCM OSD Process and will not allow us to select any task sequences. I thought I would pass along in case anyone else has HP Probook 6545b notebook systems. You can review the UUID in the BIOS on the systems.

We are seeing the exact issue and waiting for HP to call back. Have you heard anything yet?

Just to follow up on this: Yes, HP was able to help. What we found was that all the systems had the same SMBIOS ID / UUID (B53EE286F89FDE11819D7BEF96034051). They created a utility that we put on a floppy disk and booted the systems with. The utility checked for B53EE286F89FDE11819D7BEF96034051 and if it was the ID on the system then it would create a new SMBIOS ID / UUID on the system. I have attached a copy of the HP Utility (rename to .EXE). It will only work if the UUID is the same as listed above. We also created a DOS boot Disk (you can create bootable USB also) using tools found on http://www.bootdisk.com/. If you are working with HP then use our case number for them to reference. Our HP Case No. was: 4615798786
