Good morning/afternoon all, I am having a problem with SCCM 2007 not approving and installing clients. I've set up SCCM in a virtual server 2005 environment on a 2003 server in a mixed mode. Got all of the pre-reqs checked and the install went smooth without any errors. I've set up a boundary and the discovery did find 5 machines in the virtual lab. I've set up the Approval Settings to "Automatically approve computers in trusted domains", although I have also tried the "manually approve each computer" and it didn't work. The following roles are running: component server, device management point, distribution point, fallback status point, management point, reporting point, server locator point, site server, site system, site database server. I am doing this from the central site before adding a parent site.. The entities under the collections show up with respective host names, "Resource Type = System", "Domain=SCCM", "Site Code = S01", "Client=No", "Approved=N/A", "Assigned = Yes" ccm.log extract : ---> Connected to administrative share on machine XPCLIENT using account 'SCCM.LAB\Administrator'~ $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:14.348 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Attempting to make IPC connection to share <\\XPCLIENT\IPC$> ~ $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:14.348 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Searching for SMSClientInstall.* under '\\XPCLIENT\admin$\'~ $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:14.548 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> System OS version string "5.1.2600" converted to 5.10 $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:18.864 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Service Pack version from machine "XPCLIENT" is 2 $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:18.874 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> CWmi::Connect(): ConnectServer(Namespace) failed. - 0x8004100e~ $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:19.395 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Unable to connect to WMI (r) on remote machine "XPCLIENT", error = 0x8004100e. $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:19.395 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Creating \ VerifyingCopying exsistance of destination directory \\XPCLIENT\admin$\system32\ccmsetup.~ $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:19.405 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Copying client files to \\XPCLIENT\admin$\system32\ccmsetup.~ $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:19.675 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Copying file "D:\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\I386\MobileClient.tcf" to "\\XPCLIENT\admin$\system32\ccmsetup\MobileClient.tcf" $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:19.705 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Updated service "ccmsetup" on machine "XPCLIENT". $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:20.386 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Started service "ccmsetup" on machine "XPCLIENT". $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:22.319 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Deleting SMS Client Install Lock File '\\XPCLIENT\admin$\SMSClientInstall.S01'~ $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:22.369 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ---> Completed request "PHAGHYTA", machine name "XPCLIENT". $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:22.589 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> Deleted request "PHAGHYTA", machine name "XPCLIENT" $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:22.599 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> <======End request: "PHAGHYTA", machine name: "XPCLIENT". $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:41:22.599 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=632 (0x278)> ~Waking up for site control file directory change notification $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Wed Aug 06 07:43:07.270 2008 Pacific Daylight Time><thread=2492 (0x9BC)> The Site Control File has not changed since the last parameter update.
