SCOM2012RC error

Hi Everyone I have been given the task of installing SCOM2012RC to monitor a suspect database activity on another server. I have deployed from template ( virtual centre) a w2008 64 bit enterprise server, installed sql 2008 ( all default features) and then created a named instance within sql called opsmanager. I have installed both the Management Server and Console, However, when i try and install the web console and reporting server, i am getting this consistant error of setupchainerui.exe and the installation crashes. I have configured SSRS to point to my named instance and this is displaying a JOINED status. To the best of my limited knowledge i have passed all pre req's please help DOZZA

Yes, I know this is an old post, I’m trying to clean up older posts that are unanswered. Did you ever figure this out?

Hi Yes, having completely trashed the server in question, i came to the conclusion that the virtual template i was using was in some way corrupt. I performed the installation completely from scratch (new virtual machine, new SQL installation etc.) and the application loaded successfully. Thanks for replying Dozza
