I have a difficult problem that I hope someone in this forum can help me with. A few weeks ago I moved my SMS2003 SP3 site to new hardware. It did not go well and after much work I have gotten it working again. However, every day the SMS_HIERARCHY_MANAGER in the Site Status reports error message id: 3305 several times. The hman.log provides the following information: Site AF1 in Sites table: Site status = 1, Detailed status = 1 Processing site control file: Site AF1 File E:\SMS\inboxes\hman.box\6SVKAP82.CT2 Update the Sites table: Site=AF1 Parent= Site Control Image E:\SMS\inboxes\hman.box\6SVKAP82.CT2 for AF1 failed authentication test, delete it. This is probably caused by duplicate site code in some of the child sites. STATMSG: ID=3305 SEV=E LEV=M SOURCE="SMS Server" COMP="SMS_HIERARCHY_MANAGER" SYS=AUSLYNCSM01 SITE=AF1 PID=19324 TID=19412 GMTDATE=Fri Jun 06 15:17:27.202 2008 ISTR0="AF1" ISTR1="US Primary Site" ISTR2="US Primary Site" ISTR3="" ISTR4="" ISTR5="" ISTR6="" ISTR7="" ISTR8="" ISTR9="" NUMATTRS=0 I have looked all over to see why SMS this Primary Site server is failing an authentication test but have not found anything. The old Primary Site server has been isolated and is not on a network. Permissions are set correctly between the sites and communications are successful. This site does not have any Parent Sites but does have about 25 child secondary sites. The descript field in the Site Status message states: "SMS Hierarchy Manager detected that site code "AF1" is already in use by existing site "US Primary Site". Possible cause: Site "US Primary Site" is using the same site code as another site. Solution: Each site must have a unique site code. Deinstall one of these sites and reinstall it using a unique site code." Any Ideas?
