I am migrating my SMS to SCCM on Server 2008 and wanted to install SMSWakeup but I am getting "Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

I am assuming it is not compatible. If this is the case, does the master and the slaves have to be the same version? Or can I have a master that is a newer version and my slaves still be 4.0.1.16?

If not, is there an upgrade MSI from SMSWakeUp 4.0.1.16 or will I have to uninstall the 4.0.1.16 and install the new version?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

you absolutely want to upgrade this to the latest WakeUp version... your v4x predates server08... latest WU is now at 5.5x and is compatible with server08.

You will want to uninstall the v4x components and "install" v5x "new" (cleaner approach; no loss of data). You will also need to upgrade the clients as well as there are huge internal changes, particularly around computer health, in the new client and in the way the client and Agility Framework communicaste with each other (now uses a policy-based client configuration model around health).

do not believe they will, so suggest you pop off an email request to Sales@1e.com requesting the new key... will be a non-issue getting this generated and sent to you...
