Should the internal IDs used for packages, collections and advertisements be unique through SMS, ie: a package with an id of SMS00001 cannot have a collection or advertisement using that same ID?

Or is that the internal IDs are unique within packages, collections and avdertisements?

Thanks

They use similar counters, but the starter numbers are differnet for each object in SMS.

Thats what I thought.. So i guess if I have a package ID, that has the same ID as a collection or vice versa, there are issues with my SMS database?

If what you are saying is true, then yes that would be a bad thing.

No, they're totally unrelated.  You can have a collection with an ID of SMS00004 and a package with an ID of SMS00004 and an advertisement with an ID of SMS00004.  SMS won't care at all and there will be no problems due to that.  They're all in different tables and there's a unique instance key in there as well so it doesn't matter if they all have the same ID.  SMS does a good job of making sure their records are unique.
