Hello again...

Have been testing sccm lately and have tried out the TSMW to create a capture CD, however, we follow the full process full....but when it comes to pick a DP the dropdown list is totally blank...

We are able to push out other software, but unsure why this is blank...... am i being a complete fool again and missing something very very simple ?

Have you added the boot images to any DPs?

I havent no,

I ran the wizard and selected the built in image (Boot Image x86), I thought you created the boot capture CD from one of these built in images and then add the image you create from using the CD into the server ? Or have i read it wrong

you might need to enable PXE role and enable your DPS for packages.

The boot CD contains the selected boot image which is copied from the DP. You must add the desired boot image to a DP.

Any package that is used by a Task Sequence/Task Sequence Media gets pulled down from a DP when it is needed.

A 'Boot Image' is a Package.  In order for it to be accessible, it would need to be present on a DP.  If it isn't on the DP, then it has no way of finding the package containing the boot image.
