Hey everyone,
I think I have a pretty good subset of what I want to backup and restore however I am struggling to find the syntax that I need to add to MigUser.xml that will backup everything as normal however instead of restoring it to the same locations I would like to move all of it ideally to their redirected (network based) My Documents or at the very least move it all under a single folder structure local.

So basically I want to scan all the normal place  like desktop, folders on C: (exluding windows, program files, etc) and then be able to redirect those files and folders to a new folder called C:\DataMigration...or something similar instead of putting them back on the desktop.

I have done this in the past with 2.6 and the inf files but cant seem to find any good info on doing it with 3.01 and XML files.

Anyone know what the syntax I need to add to MigUser.xml should be?

Thanks!!

Try something like this:
<locationModify script="MigXmlHelper.Move('C:\NewFolderLocation')">
<objectSet>
 <script>MigXmlHelper.GenerateDrivePatterns ("* [*.abc]", "Fixed")</script>
 <script>MigXmlHelper.GenerateDrivePatterns ("* [*.123]", "Fixed")</script>
</objectSet>
</locationModify>

It will move all files with extensioons .abc and .123 to a folder called C:\NewFolderLocation
