Interested to know if anybody is using customsettings.ini via the MDT 2008 add-in to the SCCM console?

Reason is I have tested using a VB script in my OSD Task Sequence to cater for different regional settings such as timezone, keyboard locale and OU container. All works fine. I also use the installmultipleapps function to cater for different departmental builds - again works fine.

I suspect however the whole lot could be put into customsettings.ini and accessed that way. Have looked in the MDT/SCCM integration document but there's doesn't appear to be much specific detail about the structure of customsettings file and how its used

Thanks

I have turned on the integration and looked into a little bit, but I'm very nervous at using this.  My goal is to get everything working natively in ConfigMgr without having to have the integration.  I'm still going to create my master images with MDT for the time being but deploy them with ConfigMgr.  I really want both products to be separate however.  I'm nervous MDT may require updating and force me to update it on my ConfigMgr servers.

I'm trying to get things working just in vbscript, but not having a whole lot of luck thus far.  One key thing I'm not having much luck with is accurately being able to access the local hard drive of the system during various times throughout the task sequence with a built-in TS variable.  %OSDTargetDrive% doesn't seem to work very well.
