Do you have an sql dba in house? As a general rule, I was always warned against editing the sms db directly (not that people haven't done it, I was just told don't do it, it's unsupported, etc. etc.). I would get an SQL DBA involved, and see if they can a) import your data into a new database, and then b) outside of SMS' reporting, create an SQL report linking the views from SMS' db to the new DB you've imported.
