Hi,
I am trying to configure native mode using ISA with SSL tunneling. I have been following the "How to Configure ISA SSL Bridging for System Center Configuration Manager Internet-Based Client Management" article. I believe the article is based on a CA Enterprise server. I am using Windows 2003 SP 2 Standard CA. I configured the CA to use UPN certs.

When I visit the http://servername/certsrv site to request a client authentication certificate step 1 and 2 does not exist as a configuration item.

Type the FQDN of the requesting computer in the Name box, and then complete the remaining identification fields according to your company requirements.

All I see is “Friendly Name” at the bottom of the page
Select Client Authentication Certificate from the Type of Certificate Needed list.

Client Authentication Certificate is not listed in the drop down box.
Anyone know how to create/request the certs within the CA standard console?
Thanks!

Is your CA running windows Server Standard or Enterprise?

According to Microsoft documentation, you cannot deploy certificates using modified certificate templates unless you are using the Enterprise Edition of Windows Server 2003.

It is W3K standard. I was looking for a way to export the keys from W3K standard. We have decided to move to W3K enterprise.

Thanks for the reply.
