Hi,

We've got Windows 2008 server as a component server in a live environment. We have installed WDS and not configured it. It installs without issue and the service is "started". I then install the PXE service point on this box from the PSS and as soon as it installs, the WDS service stops and will not start again.
There seem to be numerous blogs about this, but nothing definitive about how this service shpuld be installed and trouble-shot in the event of issues.
My hero colleague has just sorted this and the solution is.......
SQL server provisioning tool cant grant access to a database with a computer account, so reconfigured PXE properties for a user account with rights to the SQL database on the PSS.
