Having a strange issue. W2K31 R2/SCCM 2007 SP1. After adding PXE service point system is fine. But each time I reboot the WDS service won't start. Upon logging in I can start it manually and everything works fine including PXE deployments etc. I did all usual things - remove PXE point, remove WDS etc and readd but still getting problem In fact given this is a lab I rebuilt server from scratch using just localsystem account for SQL access (just in case) This is the error I get in smspxe.log MPDB ERROR - CONNECTION PARAMETERS SQL Server Name : LONSCM02\SCCM SQL Database Name : SMS_SCM Integrated Auth : True MPDB ERROR - EXTENDED INFORMATION MPDB Method : Init() MPDB Method HRESULT : 0x80004005 Error Description : Cannot open database "SMS_SCM" requested by the login. The login failed. OLEDB IID : {0C733A8B-2A1C-11CE-ADE5-00AA0044773D} ProgID : Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server MPDB ERROR - INFORMATION FROM DRIVER SQL Server Name : LONSCM02\SCCM Native Error no. : 4060 Error State : 1 Class (Severity) : 11 Line number in SP : 1 This to me indicates that there's some sort of login failure to the SQL database presumable to get the PXE certificate and therefore WDS service doesn't start - but its only using default values local system etc. etc. anybody else hit this problem or got any thoughts ? Thanks
