I have many SCCM 2007 sites buitl with WSUS 3.0. I have heard that WSUS 3.0 SP1 needs to be installed before installing SP1 for SCCM 2007. Does anyone have information about this requirement.

Here is what is in the release notes for SCCM2007SP1.

*Changes to the Supported Configurations Topic
Note the following changes to the Supported Configurations topic:
Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 now requires Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) 3.0 SP1 for software update management. At the time of Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 release, WSUS 3.0 SP1 will not have released yet. To obtain a Release Candidate version of WSUS 3.0 SP1, go to the Connect download site http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=107377.
