It's abilities far outway the "copy packages" feature in SCCM's console. Particulary for wiping many packages off a DP all at once.

I'm asking the question internally for you.

These tools all pre-date my hire at 1E so I'm a little unclear about their origin in the first place, and you can see they all date from the 2003-2006 timeframe. If I had to make an educated guess right now, before I get a definitive response from those in the know, I'd guess that they are "as is" with little likelihood of continued revision or dev effort to update them. We are going gangbusters with a ton of SW development around our retail products. Consequently our fixed dev resources are slammed with working on those things that "pay the bills"...

I'll let you know for sure once I get a response to my inquiry.
