I am running Windows XP Service Pack 3 on a Compaq Presario 3400 SR1620NX Desktop PC with one DVD/CD-ROM Drive installed but Windows explorer shows two devices. It shows CD Drive (D:) and DVD-RW Drive (Z:). In device manager the DVD/CD-ROM Drives shows just the HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4164B device and in Disk Manager only one shows up as expected and appears as CD-ROM 0 DVD (Z:) If I use Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 (Roxio Creator Classic Version 6.1.1.7) to burn or copy disks it works without any issues. When I use my CD Ripper application to create Mp3’s the audio CD is not recognized. I also downloaded ISORecorderV2RC1 to see if I could create an Iso image of the media and it will not recognize the media either. I am not sure if it is a hardware or software problem and any help would be appreciated. Don
