Hi all,
I switched from SMS and ITMU to SCCM and WSUS last month, and still have had no luck in pushing out June's updates. I have followed everything by the book, created an update list, template, package and deployment, and have it applied to an existing collection with active clients. The problem is that the updates are being downloaded to the CCM cache, but never installed.
The deployment has a deadline which has passed. The clients are all pointing to the right server, and no group policy is applied (i.e. the local policy from the client agent is active.) My clients are all scanning properly as well, according to the reports. It seems everything is going as it should, except for the local installations not being kicked off.
My environment is all Windows XPSP2, server is W2k3 running in mixed mode, but I have an active push for the SCCM client over the SMS one. Just a thought, if i'm running in mixed mode, should the ITMU still be installed for things to run, even if i'm pushing to SCCM clients?
