Hi
I have created an Operating system install package with the source files from a XP with SP3 slipstreamed. But it fails installing.
The task sequence starts up fine and the XP installation begins, but then the sequence "Setup windows and ConfigMgr" begins and this initiates a reboot before the XP installation is finished. the results in a new PXE boot, because the installation is incomplete.

Can you tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Regards
René

Change the first boot device from your NIC to the CDROM drive, then HDD, then NIC.  Sounds like your mandatory advert keeps getting restarted due to your NIC being set as the first boot device?

If your machine is rebooting and then automatically going back into a PXE boot sequence then either you NIC is the first boot device or you may have some sort of hardware malfunction.  You should have to press F12 (on the vast majority of PC makes) to intiate the PXE boot.

SOLVED

Hi, the problem was related to a settings in BIOS

Serial ATA | Native mode was set to "auto"

changing this to "Serial ATA" solved the issue.
