Software Metering Error, "Semicolon expected.~~" (0xC00CEE22)

Hi,
 
I am running ConfigMgr 2007 SP2 R2 on Sql2005 SP4 Server 2008 R2.
 
When looking at my software metering reports, I can see that certain reports are failing to be processed.  When I look in the swmproc.log, I see the error:
 
 
Unknown fatal error processing D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\swmproc.box\process\0NS2AIMH.MUX at line 1: "Semicolon expected.~~" (0xC00CEE22)
 
I have seen a couple of other posts about this on the internet, but no solution.  I think it may be related to the fact that within these reports, the usernames have an ampersand(&) in the logon name and configmgr cannot process the report properly.
 
Has anyone else seen this issue or know how to fix it?

Ampersand is a special character and I’m not surprised that it is causing issue.
 
Can you change the user name?
Have you called CSS, they are the only one that can fix this for you.
