In my first attempt at setting up SCCM's WSUS on a secondary site, I am getting a "Sync failed: Class not registered" in the wsyncmgr.log.

In Component Status I get:

Message ID: 6703
SMS WSUS Synchronization failed.
Message: .
Source: .
The operating system reported error 2147746132: class not registered

I thought the first time I saw this, that I just needed a manual synch from WSUS, which I did and worked fine.  But now every time the primary attempts to synch again with the secondary, it gets the errors up above.  Any ideas?  I have been Googling most of the day, and have gotten nothing similar to my problem.

Had to work with Microsoft Support on this issue.  The resolution for this was to take a registry key from a site that was synching and apply it to the secondary site that wasn't.  The key you need is:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{E5272449-2083-4020-ACEE-18A145F79A75}
 
Once that is in place, you can force a synch at the top of your hierarchy, and wait for the secondary to synch.  I hope this helps others.  I have asked if this is a bug on secondary sites, but haven't heard back.

I have the same error on secondary site. ("Sync failed: Class not registered" in the wsyncmgr.log)
I take that key from Primary server.

I reboot the server and after one day everything it's ok. No more errors.
