st -> vista install (4/15/2008 12:26:44 AM)

I am installing Business Vista.
Once I installed the OS, windows still requires me to activate it. I thought I had the corporate key and I’m not sure how to go about this.
I need to create an image based on that install using sms feature pack 2003.
What Vista install would I need in order to skip the activation (just as in WinXP Corporate).
Thanks,

All Vista versions will require activation.  If you are a volume license customer check this out:  http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/resources/vol/default.mspx  or this google search:  http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=active&rls=com.microsoft%3A*&q=vista+license+server  or this one on Vista activation:  http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=active&rls=com.microsoft%3A*&q=vista+activation

There is no way around it with Vista and 2008, without hacking  Read this on how to extend the activation period.  http://windowssecrets.com/comp/070315/#story1.

Also the OS will need to "recheck" itself in about every 6 months to keep it running.
