Ocationaly our SCCM enviornment experiences an issue where it replicates the package to the secondary however it never finishes, essentialy the last step it peforms is "waiting to install packages". The package status clearly indicates that the package has finished replicating and copying to the server,
SMS Distribution Manager successfully distributed package "PACKAGE" to distribution point "["Display=\\SERVERNAME\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=SITE"]\\SERVERNAME\".
We now have many packages across many secondaries that this is occuring. The packages are not usable until the Primary has indicated the process is complete. I would think this is an issue with the Primary sinct its affectintg so many as long as the primary displays install pending the packages are not usable.
