I just attempted to image the second of five test machines using PXE boot.  It failed.  Examining the SMSTS.log shows that the Network Access Account was not set.  Sure enough, when I went into the Client Policy, the NAA was blank.  WITHOUT DOUBT, this account was set.  I have the first PXE-imaged machine to verify my sanity.

Sure enough, when I set the account again, the second machine is imaging nicely.

This is now the second time that I have seen the NAA get "unset" without me unsetting it.  The first time, a couple of weeks ago, I thought I must be mistaken.  This is now the second time it has happened.  Furthermore, I have made NO changes to my SCCM console at all since the first successful PXE image was successful.

Is anyone seeing their NAA get cleared?

Yep...luckily this post:
http://www.myitforum.com/forums/PXE_boot_does_not_Work/m_177482/tm.htm

was the only return from google using !slistsmbpaths.empty() at the criteria.  :)

I have been beating my head on the wall with this.  Sure enough I found the post, checked my NAA account and it was blank.  A another quick way to tell if it has been cleared is in the console.  In your Site Setting>Accounts you will see your NAA account.  The 3rd column should read "Network Access Account".  When its cleared I think it reads unknown.

Thanks for the tip and no your not alone. :(

The "Accounts" is actually where I detected it first.

The problem seems to occur after you reboot the server for the first time.  It gets unset.  Then, when I reset it, it remains set.  Not conclusive on that, but the point is that it may be worth monitoring in your daily maintenance activities.

Can MOM monitor this?
