franz_nyce -> Client Push WMI issues (4/18/2008 4:43:35 PM)

Hi,

I was hoping someone can help me with a WMI client push install issue.

From the ccm.log:

---> Unable to connect to WMI (r) on remote machine "Srvr", error = 0x8004100e.  $$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Fri Apr 18 16:26:21.160 2008 Eastern Daylight Time><thread=1660 (0x67C)>

I've made sure Enable Distributed Com was enabled on all the clients but the client push seems to stop at this location, Firewall is off. Any help would be appreciated

Can you establish a remote WMI connection to the system from the server?  Try opening webmtest on the SMS server and click connect. Then enter \\Srvr\root\cimv2 and click connect.  If it doesn't connect, then there is a problem with WMI on the Srvr computer.

The error code translates to: WBEM_E_INVALID_NAMESPACE

Is this issue widespread or only on a handful of machines? If it's just a small number of computers, you may be looking at WMI corruption issues.
