(4/22/2008 6:36:57 PM) Greetings, After much wailing and nashing of teeth, I have managed to upgrade my SMS 2003 installation to SCCM 2007 SP1 Beta on Server 2008, SQL 2005 (different machine) and my functionality has mostly returned to where it was.  Now I'm trying to add the asset management role to my main server, and it's wanting me to input the path to a certificate.  We are running, however, in mixed mode as we don't have a PKI here.  What am I missing?

crowland -> RE: Asset Management Role install question... (5/1/2008 7:39:09 PM) The certificate needed for the AI catalog sync point site role is provided to SA customers only. You don't need a PKI for it. That site role allows for dynamic catalog updates - both where unidentified software titles can be sent to System Center Online for categorization, as well as receiving catalog updates as defined by the synchronization schedule (if there are any).
