bucky31 -> Latitude D600 D610 D620 D630 Image Issues (4/23/2008 11:04:15 AM)

Hello, I have recently attemped to minimize the number of images that my company has for various models. Is it possible to combine the D600 - D630 Laptops into an image? I have been able to get all of them to work except the D600. It goes to a black screen after running through the initial windows setup. I have read that this is because of the D600 using a different HAL (ACPI PC), but I am having issues getting it to work properly. I am using the D630 as my ghost image with dualcore disabled so my HAL shows as a ACPI Uniprocessor PC. I have verified that upon enabling dual-core on the machine in the BIOS that my image properly upgrades my D630 to a ACPI Multiprocessor PC. I have this line in my sysprep: UpdateUPHAL = "ACPIAPIC_UP,%WINDIR%\Inf\Hal.inf" Has anyone been able to successfully combine these models into 1 image? If so, what steps should I take? Which model would be best for building this image? I have read previoulsy that people have been able to successfully implement all of these models into 1 image.
