smser79 -> BDD doesnt execute zti.vbs (4/28/2008 3:47:30 PM)

My OSD was running perfect for several months. Suddently it have stopped.

When I start a computer with CD(winpe) it stops after intializing network. The windows with intalizing windows gets closed.
It only creates 1 log file (osdshell.log) and every line is successful.

Im watching the checkpoint firewall. No traffic is detected. But if I manually do a ping or map a share I can see traffic true firewall.
Client have IP-adr.

Why doesnt it kick \\smsserver\smspkge$\bp100088\zerotouchinstallation.vbs ??
If I type \\smsserver\smspkge$\bp100088\zerotouchinstallation.vbs and press enter I got access denied.
If I type net use m: \\smsserver\smspkge$\bp100088\ and then rund zerotouchinstallation.vbs I got more log files.
In RIPINFO.INI its written commandline:  \\smsserver\smspkge$\bp100088\zerotouchinstallation.vbs

Some history:
I patched my server with windows patches for november-april last week.
I did a OSD after I rebooted server. Everything was OK.
The day after I got a new computer modell, I inserted drivers to BDD.
When I started the new computer with installation CD it didnt detect the network card.
I created a new installation CD with the driver for the new computer.
Then I got the problem I described in this post.

When I tried to update deployment points in BDD I got a error about WinPE.
I imported WinPE, then it was ok to update deployment points in BDD.
I updatet WinPE in SMS.
I created a new installations CD again but same problem.

I dont think its anything wrong with the server coz there are NO network activties from client or to server.
I dont think its coz the installation CD, coz I've tried my old CD on computer models which worked before with the CD.
I dont think its anything wrong with the network coz when I run zti.vbs manually everything is OK. I can run it 3-4 times and it changes the PHASE property each time.

Even when I boot on CD with the network cable unplugged I get det same log file.

What can it be?

rbennett806 -> RE: BDD doesnt execute zti.vbs (4/30/2008 9:59:26 PM)

So you can successfully image a machine using your older OS Image Installation CD?

If so, sounds like something is wrong with that WinPE you imported and used to make new CDs. I'd go through those steps again and make sure you've got the right WinPE files (sometimes people tweak them so make sure you don't have to customize it before importing it). I'm assuming that you're using BDD and SMS 2003 for your deployment.

Do you remember what the error was that BDD gave you about WinPE that made you import it again?

Are you using the latest version of the BDD toolkit?

Just some thoughts...
