cxesam -> SCCM Setup Failed (5/4/2008 4:29:28 AM)
|
Hi Everyone I'm fairly new to SCCM and have just recently tried to install it in my live environment. I ran all the prerequisite checks, everything was successful. It's a new Win2003 SP2 server. SQL 2005 SP2 installed as well. However, during the installation (the part where it's busy transferring the files) I get a fatal setup error. Please see attached file. The log file gives the following error: Cannot copy C:\SOFTWARE\SYSTEM CENTER CONFIGURATION MANAGER 2007 WITH SQL 2005\SMSSETUP\AdminUI\bin\i386\00000409\baserc.dll to c:\program files\microsoft configuration manager\adminui\bin\i386\00000409\baserc.dll, Win32 error = 3 Setup has encountered fatal errors while performing file operations. We made an ISO image of the installation DVD and ran the installation from there. It worked fine in my testing environment. We tried uninstalling SQL, reinstalled it. Still get the same error. I've checked access rights (in SQL as well), account access etc. I've searched the net, read the whitepapers. Can anyone please assist me or point me in the right direction? I would really appreciate it.
