jagustin -> TaskSequences.xml error (5/7/2008 4:06:40 PM)

Hi,
Using the Deployment Workbench I have created a number of task sequences. I also have 2 deployment points and am using PXE boot to access the share. I have been deploying images no problem, customization etc, but now I have encountered a big problem.
When I PXE boot and choose either of my deployment points the listing with task sequences is empty! "TaskSequences.xml is blank/not found/in use" and I can't seem to fix it.
The last thing I did was script the first set of credentials (accessing the share) by using the startcmd.cmd work around. The auto logon works great.
I have updated both DP's (full) updated the boot PE's on WDS, ensured the tasksequences.xml is present and not in use, and ensured that the DP's have at least 1 TS checked off.
Please help, I can't image anything at the moment and that's not a good place to be :)

Bounce ideas off and maybe there's a direction you can point me in that I haven't tried yet!

Thanks very much,
Joel

Update:
I unchecked all TS's from my secondary DP so that the tasksequences.xml was blank. Did a full update on both DP's and replaced PE on WDS.
Went back to secondary DP and checked off 1 TS, updated files only. When I PXE boot to that DP that TS appears! (making some progress). Image deploys fine.
Now when I boot to my primary DP (type: Lab) which should have a listing of ALL TS's (at least the ones that selected to appear in the listing) NONE appear.
How does that work?
I think I'm making progress, but I've been wrong before. At least I can deploy images (well at least the one I checked off)

Let me know if you have any ideas.
Joel

Update: Fixed it.
After all the testing and retrying, I found out that one of my TS was the problem, so anytime it was added to a DP it would cause the listing to fail completely.
The TS which was a custom XP image I had made was using was using a Vista Install as it's OS. Not sure how that got in there, but once I changed that out and updated the DP's it worked.

moral of the story, make sure your TS's are good, and add the TS's to your DP one at a time until you find one that's the problem.

Joel
