MhermanNBME -> OSD Deploying won't use Key (5/8/2008 1:33:46 PM)

I'm having trouble with my image deployment, where it won't use my product key.  I put in the task sequence, i've double checked it, and i've had other people check it. I created a package with my sysprep.ini file and told it to use it. I even set the task sequence variable "OSDProductKey" in the task sequence. I tested it by pressing F8, and used a script to read the task sequence var and it printed out my key, yet, when the image boots for the first time, it prompts me for the key. If i type in the same exact key, it goes right on and finishes deploying. This is the same key we used in SMS 2003 osd without a problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks

In my case, I simply entered the product key on my system which I captured the image using Sysprep. Hope this helps.

Thanks, but I'm not quite sure what you mean. I'm trying to use the image capture CD, so if i just run sysprep, my image won't be captured. If i run sysprep first, then the capture cd can't access the network location it's trying to store the image file. Running the capture sequnce before will just shutdown the pc before I get to run sysprep.

You should use sysprep (enter the key using sysprep)
Reboot the system.
Use the SCCM Cd to capture the image

Hope this helps

It turned out to be the sysprep file that had the typo in it. I swear I had used it before, but i suppose not. Thanks for your suggestions.
