With SCCM 2007 SP1 on the horizon, I've been working on upgrading the AMT BIOs on all my workstations to the desired 3.2.1 revison. I've noticed that after flashing our systems, when you check the version at boot up, it still displays v3.0.2.0004. The general consenus I've heard is that even though it doesn't show 3.2.1, it is 3.2.1. It looks like SCCM 2007 SP1 will include a WMI provider to allow collection of AMT BIOs versions and that will be nice to have, however I sure would like to have a way to actually see that the new version is in fact installed. Has anyone successfully been able to determine the rev level?

In my mind the problem has got to be either
  1. The wrong version got flashed and the BIOS was flashed with old ROM
  2. Something went wrong in the process and the BIOS didn't actually get flashed at all
  3. It got updated, but the vendor forgot to update all of their version numbers within the BIOS
It's possible, but I personally don't see a new BIOS provider coming from SCCM and solving the problem as being likely.  For me the big tell is that on startup the POST screen or within the BIOS setup you still see the old version.  This has nothing to do with WMI providers.

Anyway, have you run something like this from a command prompt in Windows on one of these machines that got flashed to see if the updates are there?
WMIC BIOS

It appears that the vendor did not update their version numbers. I ran wmic bios and it correctly reported the machine bios but not the ME / AMT bios. However if it's not registered in WMI, that may be why it's not showing up there. I understand that there's a tool called MEInfowin.exe that's not public yet but it may do what I need to do.
