Yaanik -> Unable to install SCCM client on some machines (6/5/2008 11:56:10 AM)

I am unable to install SCCM client on 20% of the machines that include desktops and wireless laptops and also remote users. ccm.log shows the following. Any help would be appreciated.

I am currenlty having the same issue within my network, The error code means access denied to the computer.
I cant seem to install the client, getting the same error.Now Im not sure what the failed to get token process means. You may want to check your account Client push accounts, Makes sure that they are not disabled nor locked out. Also makes sure the the account accessing the computers has indeed administrative access to the computer.
Now I added a second domain account to the client push properties and see if it would work and it didnt. Perhaps this works for you.
I still havent been able to resolve my issue as to why this doesnt work, it worked prior to about 800 computers. Any help would be appreciate it. Thanks,.

  • Check you firewall settings to ensure it allows "Remote Windows Management Instrumentation" thru. If this is the case you could use an Active Directory GPO to set this setting across your desktop comptuers.
  • Also, check to see if these systems are actually online. It may be logging this information in the logs and the client is not really on the network.

As Richard said- check if they are actually online. I had this problem after SP3 for SMS 2003.
