Je@nb -> ISA VPN monitoring (7/1/2008 3:15:15 PM)

Hello,

I'd like to monitore a site-to-site VPN with ISA and SCOM 2007.

I downloaded the MP for ISA and for RRAS but there is nothing to monitore it.
This site-to-site VPN connects a branch office to the main office.

Is there a way to monitor/alert when the VPN between the 2 ISA is down ? (via ping to the second ISA, via monitoring the state of the dialup link etc ?)

I didn't find anything :/

Hi,

You could use the TCP Port monitor to check a port on the remote ISA server. This will also give you some indication of the health of the tunnel because it records response time.

Anders also has a ping script available on his blog. -->http://contoso.se/blog/?p=189

Let me know if this solution is not what you are looking for.

Thanks, I can use that. I was thinking about the network adapters and not that. It will do the job ;)
