mdewell -> Memory leak on my Domain Controller (7/2/2008 11:20:16 AM)

Hi all-

I am an Ops Manager Rookie and am having an issue with the Ops Manager 2007 SP1 client on one of my Domain Controllers.  The memory usage spikes dramatically (page file usage increases by 3-4X) and my system becomes unresponsive.  My other domain controllers are fine (and one of them is on older less powerful hardware.)  I am running Windows Server 2003 on the DC's and they are Dell 1U and 2U servers.  As soon as I stop the OpsManager Health service the memory usage goes back down and the system becomes responsive again.  The management packs that would be relevant to this server would be the default management packs plus the most recent Dell Management Pack and the Active Directory packs.  I tried getting rid of other MP's but it didn't help.  I believe there was a hotfix for something like this but I don't think it applies to SP1 clients?

Any ideas?  I am waiting on rolling out OpsManager to the rest of our servers until I can get this problem licked.
Thanks.

Thanks.  I think that only applies to the RTM version of Ops Mgr 2007.  I'm on SP1 and that hotfix would not install for me.

I ended up doubling my RAM and adjusting some DEP (Data Execution Prevention) settings and that seemed to have provided some relief.

Thanks again.
