agleitman -> UUID for Fallback Status Point Traffic (7/4/2008 6:14:34 PM)
|
Hello myITforum world, We are in the midst of installing and configuring ConfigMgr 2007 in our production environment. Our plan is to have the fallback status point located in the DMZ. The type of traffic used between the fallback status point and site server is RPC. If you go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632618.aspx and look at the map of ports the traffic I am referring to is labelled #12. My IT Security department does not usually allow RPC traffic between the internal network and the DMZ. They have made it clear that the only way they will allow the Site Server to FSP traffic is if we can find out the Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) of the RPC call. This way they can limit the traffic through the firewall based on the UUID. I have searched online and on this website but have been unable to find the answer. I hope someone from the myITforum community can assist. My question is, What is the UUID of this RPC call? Thanks, AG
