asaxton -> Secondary Site install pending (7/16/2008 9:04:10 AM)

I have a couple of issues.  All related to secondary site installs.  The first issue is that I have three brand new secondary sites that are pending install.  Going on a week now, the keys have been manually exchanged and I get responses at all sites to and from the primary for NetBios and FQDN and vice versa.  The sender.log keeps reporting that it sees the FQDN connects, and fails.  Win32 error=53.  AD has been extended and all servers in question are posting updates.  The primary exists on all of the secondary sites as administrator.  I have rebooted all of the secondary sites and manually created the keys again and exchanged them.

The other issue is with two other secondary sites.  I use the primary console to push the secondary site install as with all others.  Over 40 working sites.  However on the secondary, nothing.  The share was not created, and the bootstrap files doesn't exist.  Just appears that nothing happened.  I have two of these, on one of them I deinstalled it as a secondary and ran preinst /delsite & /deljob to remove packages.  Then set it up again with a different code.  Still get the same thing.

I could really use some help.

Look in the local group named SMS_SiteToSiteConnection_XXX on the Primary Site server.  Look for the Secondary Site computer name and make sure it is in there.  If not, add it and restart SMS Exec on the Secondary.

I appreciate your response.  I had already checked on that.  All of the servers in question appear in the group.  I have rebooted the servers since checking on that.  I was kinda hoping that something just got hung up and the reboot would clear it.  Unfortunately, it didn't.
