jkaiser -> How to do a "Security revision" in SCCM's wsus? (9/15/2008 8:47:16 AM)

Hi Guys,

I was wondering how I do revised MS Security Bulletins in SCCM ?  Do I just need to refresh the Deployment Package content or do I have to redo the Security Update list????

For Example:  I had a September 2008 list and package all set and deployed.  Now I see MS has re-released ms08-052.  What steps do I need to do to update my SCCM and eventually my clients?

Thx,
Jon

Don't forget the girls in this forum [:D]

I've tried to figure out by myself what's the best way to deal with Security Updates. I'd say you'll have to drag&drop the new update into your list, update the package to download the new content and update the DPs afterwards. That's my understanding of the process.
As soon as the update is available on the DP, your clients should pick it up with the regular installation interval. If you haven't defined an interval, you might want to use the re-run advertisement.
