jferguson234 -> Server 2003 SP2 Standard SQL Ent or Standard (9/19/2008 2:49:39 PM)

Hi all, in the process of setting up my Server for SCCM 07.  I have everything installed and ready to install Wsus.  The sql people told me to install enterprise edition even though I have Server 2003 SP Standard for the OS.  Can anyone suggest what the pros and cons of this would be or should I just install standard.  Thanks.  James

P.S. Ed another Ex navy man here, stay strong.

P.S.S Thank you all who have served regardless if you were not in greatest service[:)]

The version of SQL you install is completely independant of the underlying version of the OS.  Here is a feature by feature comparison of the SQL 2005 versions: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/features/compare-features.mspx.  In general, the biggest difference, as far as ConfigMgr is concerned, is price.
