jsimborg -> LTI not parsing Database during install (9/22/2008 2:35:31 PM)

I have setup MDT to use SQL 2005 and created a couple of Make/models using the information from ZTIgather. I had configured the DB on the deployment point with the make/model options. Customsetting.ini looks correct. I run a completely automated LTI install but the additional installs that I configured for those specific make/model do not install. The BDD log does not show that it is even trying to parse the database. I have run ZTIgather seperatly from WinPE and it shows it parsing the database and coming up with the correct make/model. I have done it from the fully installed OS and same results. What could be missing during the actuall install?

Well, since nobody has chimed in...

Are you sure that your computers are getting the Role? I'd double-check your settings. I usually recommend that you add in all the database role info into your CustomSettings.ini file (right-click the desired DP and select Configure DB), and that your Bootstrap.ini file matches your CustomSettings.ini file.

If that doesn't help, make sure you've got the right Make/Model info set in that Role...

Just a thought...

Thanks. I had configured the the DB in customsettings.ini. I then tested in windows PE using ZTIgather.wsf /debug:true against the customsetting file and it shows parsing the database and picking the right make and model. I also tested it in the actuall Windows XP installed and it also shows parsing the database. BUT, it does not parse the database at all during a LTI install! I am baffled!!![:@]
