Hi,

When I want to install updates during the installations I get kicked out after a while with 80040005.

Looks like an access denied error, but I'm just wandering from where the system wants to install these patches?

I have created an update list and a deployment package and linked this to the correct SMS collection.

From the Update List node, I followed the wizard if you select "deploy software updates"

In the OSD TS I selected to install all software updates.

In the smsts.log I can see that the download of each patch is failing.

What do I miss here? I suppose the system wants to access the DP where my Deployment package is stored?
Priviliges are looking fine.

Anyone an idea? Tnx

You computer have the compurter update ON? and this is configure to update from the SCCM site?

It was a boundary issue (it was set to no installation on slow boundaries)

Hi,

So the installation of the patches are going fine, just one annoying thing...

I install 95 updates they all go smoothly but latest one is haning for 20 minutes.

I don't think it has something to see with the particular path I removed some patches already, it's always
the last patch that is hanging.

Is this a common behaviour? Is the task sequence doing a round-up or something of all patches?

I would like to add the security updates task to my sequence but when it really extends the installation time with 40 minutes, I'm starting to doubt it...

Do you have in the collection a Mantenince Window?

What time limit to install update do you have?

Search in Microsoft this: SC_SF_Software_Updates_Synchronization is a good tool . . .
