Hi,

I have this symptom when a user travels to a secondary site?

Anyone seen this?

Event viewer is full with errors like:

Source[image]http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/emoticons/emotion-7.gif[/image]MS Client

The Windows Installer source paths on this computer failed to update. SMS was unable to determine the correct locations for the Windows Installer program. Possible causes: The computer is unable to contact a Management Point to locate the program content; the content location request to the Management Point timed out. Solutions: Wait until the computer is connected to the network and able to contact the Management Point.

The update will be retried.

AND

The component raised an exception but failed to handle it and will be stopped immediately.

Component name: betsp.dll

This is not a general issue only a very few clients have it. Uninstall the client does not help neither following KB

Thanks for your time.

Nico

Are your secondary sites configured to push out the client?  That's all I can think of--the secondary is trying to install or repair the client now that the client has fallen into it's boundaries.
