dnewhart -> SCCM Network Discovery (10/8/2008 10:33:16 AM)
|
Network Discovery is enabled with "Topology, client and OS" selected. Two subnets are added to the "Subnets" tab, with search local subnets checked. Domains tab is not enabled, SNMP maximum hops is set to 5 with 2 Community names specified "public" and "Public" Several SNMP devices are added to the SNMP Devices tab. These are the routers encounted via tracert between the SCCM and an XP machine on one of the subnets listed onthe subnets tab. No DCHP servers are listed and "Always use..." is unchecked on the DCHP Tab. Discovery is set to run for 2 hours. SCCM SQL database is located on a SQL farm on same subnet as the SCCM server. I am viewing the results next day. Issue: Network discovery finds ONLY the SCCM server and the router for the subnet that the SCCM server is on. netdisc.log does not list any errors. No new "locked" subnets appear on the Subnets tab. There are at least 250 total devices on the two subnets scanned (apparently not very well??) Any thoughts?
