all, i've inherited an sms 2003 site and was looking in the ccm.log today and noticed a ton of retry requests occuring. i've identified the account configured for the client push does not have sufficient privileges. when i look inside the ccr.box dir there are 1.7 million files equaling 6.6gb. what i want to know is how has this occured, and how can i clean it up? can i simply delete them? i believe this has escaped detection as the sms client is installed as part of a ghost image. i'm thinking that perhaps the network discovery has detected all these machines over a period of years, and tried to install the client using the unprivileged account? what i want to do is clear the ccr.box, disable auto client push, and disable network discovery..does this sound appropriate? thanks all.
